Mystique Moksha

Shakti Retreat (South India) by Mystique Moksha Wellness

Six stages, one journey

9–22 January, 2027

Kochi 1024x683

01 · Days 1–2

Fort Kochi — Arrive & Settle

Colonial heritage buildings, Chinese fishing nets, the Jewish Quarter and Mattancherry spice market. A welcome dinner, an evening walk through the heritage quarter, and the first morning yoga practice.

On day two: a full Kathakali performance with backstage make-up demonstration, and a cooking experience with a local family followed by lunch.

02 · Munnar

Ascent into the Hills

A drive up into the Western Ghats, 1,600 metres above sea level, mist rolling through cardamom groves. Morning yoga in the tea gardens, and a walk through the Eravikulam National Park estate. Time to breathe, slow down, and let the world below fall quiet.

03 · Thekkady

Forest, Spice & the Wild

Tropical forest country, home to the Periyar Tiger Reserve — a dawn boat safari on Periyar Lake in the mist, and an afternoon Kalaripayattu demonstration: Kerala’s ancient martial art, and the somatic ancestor of yoga. Two nights to walk the spice trails properly.

04 · Five nights

Ayurveda Immersion

The still centre of the journey. Personalised treatments based on your constitution, warm herbal oils, therapeutic touch, steam and rest. Mornings begin with practice in the open air; the rest of each day is yours. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is clinical — there is time to sit, to read, to walk barefoot, to be still.

05 · Alleppey

Backwaters — Surrender to the Water

A traditional Kettuvallam — a hand-built Kerala rice barge — carries the group through a night drifting on the backwaters of Alleppey. Yoga on deck at dawn, and the slow passage of palm-lined canals, still water and village life glimpsed from the water.

06 · Return

Fort Kochi — Close & Integrate

A final night together, a closing circle and group reflection, and a farewell dinner. In the morning, transfers to the airport and the beginning of the journey home — always a different kind of journey than the one you arrived on. One online integration session follows, roughly three weeks after return.
